Another one for the diary: ”EXPATRIARCH PRESENTS
“TAINT”
Friday, May 17—10 P.M.
Südblock—Admiralstr. 1-2

LIVE ON STAGE
—V
—Dievondavon
—Stella Veloce
DJs
—D&G (Dario & Giorgiolina)
—Walter Crasshole

TAINT: to corrupt or blemish, like what Marilyn Manson did to the Soft Cell classic. TAINT also refers to that special in-between zone scientifically known as the perineum. So, leave your purity ring at the garderobe and join us for a celebration of gray areas, a transgenre musical experience, like a 4D version of Expatriarch Radio.
Taking the stage is V, a bass player and vocalist who is certifiably punker than fuck. Backed by duo Deep Shit, her haunting performance will suck your soul dry. Her song “No Return” was nominated for the Berlin Music Video Awards under the “best lo-fi video” category, and, after touring the US as part of Brooklyn band Friends, V is back in Berlin for her first show here since January. Watch “No Return”: www.vimeo.com/48668712
Also performing is fervent synth-pop duo Dievondavon, who played last fall’s Queer Noises Festival, as well as Stella Veloce, who combines cello and loop pedals to create improvised ambience somewhere between dissonance and harmony.
In between and after the live acts, stroke your chin to the sophisticated sounds of Walter Crasshole (resident DJ of “Rock Bottom”) and D&G (Dario & Giorgiolina, the luxurious duo behind “Benetton Rainbow Complex”).
A zesty cross-section of local underground talent, this will be the last edition of TAINT for a little while, because Expatriarch is gearing up to bring you SSION in June and Cakes Da Killa in July.

‘Tain’t me, babe.
